About Me
Kevin Kennedy has spent more than 30 years helping people move, perform, and stay strong. His career has included media appearances in the 1990s—most notably a feature in Fitness Magazine—and training a wide range of clients, from Oscar winners and corporate leaders to Olympic athletes, NFL hopefuls, and young athletes who went on to collegiate success.
A key influence on his career was a three-year mentorship with Ian King, Australia’s top strength and conditioning coach, where Kevin learned innovative approaches to performance and injury prevention. He later launched Kids U in Paramus, blending fitness with play for children, and partnered with physical therapy professionals to expand his expertise in rehabilitation.
At Beyond, Kevin brings a creative, no-two-workouts-alike style that blends humor, structural correction, and performance training. His approach challenges clients to build a strong foundation, avoid injury, and progress in ways that keep them energized, balanced, and continually improving.

What Our Clients Say About Kennedy Fitness:

How long have you been working with Kevin?
Later this year, I will celebrate 25 years of working out with Kevin!
Why would I recommend working with Kevin to a friend?
Kevin is the perfect combination of (a) knowledgeable about all aspects and types of training, (b) flexible in his approach based on his client’s age, interests, and conditioning and (c) observant of his client’s strengths and weaknesses while moving. He is not wedded to a single approach, but instead tailors your workout based on your goals.
What is my favorite thing about working with Kevin?
Kevin is relentlessly upbeat and encouraging. His belief in you is empowering. He is masterful at mixing it up – this must be the case to have kept my interest for 25 years! I work out with him 3x per week for 1.5 hours each session. In all that time, I have never been bored and have never been injured during our workouts. I am 72, and thanks to Kevin, am still slaying it on double black diamond slopes, which is my goal.
What would my advice be to others considering starting a training plan?
Beg Kevin to take you on.

Why would I recommend working with Kevin to a friend?
Kevin is not only an expert trainer but also uniquely capable in anatomy, biomechanics and rehab. Not only has he made me stronger, leaner and more flexible, he has helped me manage old injuries and poor posture and helped me recover super fast from new injuries or aches and pains. His ability to see minute movements and misalignments and to take a holistic approach to total body fitness are unlike any other trainer I have worked with. He improves strength and balance and pushes to discomfort but with humor and variety. The deep personal connection and friendship are icing on top.

Why would I recommend working with Kevin to a friend?
Kevin brings a very reassuring and positive attitude to fitness and training. I started with Kevin at age 49, overweight, having had a hip replacement, lacking good posture and control of my body. I have worked with other trainers privately, had gym memberships, and participated in a variety of classes over the years. Nothing compares to my experiences with Kevin. His extensive experience enables him to assess my limitations and create a program that leads to success. While training with him I have realized gains in areas that have always been a challenge while at the same time maintaining and improving on areas that were always strong. Rarely do I see a video or article about fitness that does not include concepts and exercises that Kevin has already introduced into my sessions. His approach is grounded in science and experience that is very hard to find and unrivaled in the fitness world. Kevin does not have a formula for training. He learns where I am and crafts a program for the day that is challenging, but safe. He does not leave me so taxed that I am sore for days, yet I still make progress and get results. He can sense my energy and ability for the day and instantly adjust his program to meet me for the best possible outcome. I cannot recommend him enough. After he moved from my neighborhood, I have continued to train with Kevin via video conference and enjoy the same level of professionalism and results. He is truly the best trainer and fitness professional out there!
What is your favorite thing about training with Kevin?
Kevin is fun to train with. He is very friendly, not judgmental, intelligent, and positive! We have great conversations and I always look forward to our time together.
What would your advice be to others considering starting a training plan?
